What are exclusions?

Exclusions are risks we will not cover. ⛔️ We may put an exclusion on your policy depending on your individual risk profile.

Also, there are some contractual exclusions which always apply. For example, if you have permanent ligament damage in your right ankle, we would exclude any claims related to ligament damage in your right ankle. It should be obvious (duh) why we do this. If not, it's because we cannot pay claims on things you had before you became our client - otherwise, we'd go bankrupt very quickly!   😭 So an exclusion is a clean way to stop this from happening, and it's also obvious to the person who has the exclusion, and we hope it gives them peace of mind about what we don't cover - so they can be comfortable that everything else is covered! We also have contractual exclusions that apply to everyone. There are some of those explained in details in our contracts, and they are pretty straightforward.  For example, we will exclude any claims which are a result of someone in the process of committing a crime.  👎🏽

If you submit a claim for something that happens when you’re in one of the following countries, you won’t be covered:

Afghanistan, Angola (Cabinda Province), Burundi, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nigeria (Niger Delta), North Korea, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan and the Syrian Arab Republic. *This list could change in future.
